The E-learning module allows schools to run virtual classes complete with live interactions, resource sharing, classwork, tests, and assignments. Due to differences in terminology between tertiary institutions and secondary schools, this guide uses generic names or titles to normalize any disparities. For example, we have chosen to refer to Lecturers/Teacher as Instructors and Course/Subject as simply Subjects.

Learning is organized in subjects for each class.  Subjects are taught in topics and a subject may contain Instructor’s instructions, assignments, classwork, tests, and as may topics as necessary.

Instructor’s instructions

The instructor handling a lesson may provide the class with instructions or comments at any time.

Exercises – [Classwork, Tests, and Assignments]

The instructor may give the students exercises to be done and submitted to the instructor in the virtual classroom.

Topics

Topics are the main learning entries in the class. Each subject may have as many topics as required to complete the subject. Each topic may contain many resources or lecture materials in many formats such as documents, pdf, spreadsheets, links, and multimedia added by the instructor and accessible to the members of the class.

The resource library:

The resource library holds the various teaching materials used by instructors in various courses.

Instructors should prepare their lesson resources and add them to the resource bank. Later on, the resources can then be added to the classes where it is required. Other instructors may also reuse the same resource to teach their classes.

The library is accessible to Instructors only. Students may access only the contents added to their classes.
